Digitalization of the industry can only be achieved on the basis of cross-industry and cross-country partnerships
The german innovation centre for industry 4.0 is a technology startup founded in January 2015 by highly-qualified engineers with years of industry experience and aspiring young entrepreneurs from the fields of business administration, IT, and logistics. The startup is based in Regensburg, Germany. Together with partners from Singapore, the Asian subsidiary i40sg was founded in February 2015and is located in the German Centre in Singapore.
The strategy of the german innovation centre for industry 4.0 is grounded on the firm conviction that digitalization of the industry is only feasible on an international basis. Only by means of cross-country initiatives and standards will it be possible to implement industry 4.0 concepts in a sustainable way.
The mission of the startup is defined as follows:
Application-oriented and well-grounded advancement of the industry 4.0 paradigm, independent of industry borders and based on an interdisciplinary and cross-country perspective.
The german innovation centre for industry 4.0 has defined three interconnected business fields:
- Training/Consultancy/Conferences in Europe and Asia
- Software Development
- The open Industrie 4.0 Portal i40.de
There is a lot of talk about the challenges of digitalization in the industry, but actually not enough activity
Thus, the startup works on Industry 4.0 from three interconnected directions. Our training and consultancy services help SMEs to be well prepared for the tremendous challenges of digitalization, particularly through our Digitalization and Industry 4.0 Driver Licence, the only structured and practical-oriented training program for SMEs.
The purpose of our open Industrie 4.0 Web Portal is the national and international interconnection among players in the fields of industry 4.0 and digitalization. In contrast to many large competitors, our software development is grounded on the idea of simple solutions that can be implemented very quickly and that offer high cost-value ratio.
The Team at the german innovation centre for industry 4.0 is committed to approaching industry 4.0 from an opportunity- and application-oriented perspective rather than mainly just discussing definitions and problems.
